      Neighborhoods of the Information Industry

Outsell, Inc. spends all of their time tracking the information industry. Their broad definition of the industry and understanding of its common elements enables them to see relationships that insiders often miss because they view the industry from their own space within it. This reference guide to the "neighborhoods of the information industry" shares a total view of who's who, what's going on, how the different neighborhoods relate and get along (or not), and what that means for the industry's future success. The complimentary 62 page PDF will enable you to visualize the relationships within the information industry and have a coherent framework from which to approach relationship-building, sales, acquisition and other business development activities.

Outlook 2005: Power Play In The Information Industry

Each year Outsell shares its year-end Outlook Briefing with a wide audience of interested information industry players and observers. We believe you'll find this year's version stimulating reading as you look forward to a successful 2005. This is Outsell's essential guide to what's in store in 2005, chock-full of predictions and key insights about what you can expect. The name " Power Play" is intentionally laced with a double meaning: Outsell thinks the themes of play, creativity, and fun will be kicked up a notch in 2005. Power as in 'strength', power as in 'energy' - not the fear-based old world of power grabs, power struggles, and power outages. After first reviewing their track record for 2004 predictions (mostly right-on), the report addresses shifting power positions of information users, information vendors, and information managers in 2005.
