¤ Previews
The Content Division is planning a half-day event to focus on innovative new companies. Previews will take place on Monday January 29, the day before the annual Information Industry Summit. This event will feature a panel of corporate deal-makers, a keynote address, and ten company presentations of innovative, early-stage companies featuring exciting content plays or content technology. Details will be posted shortly here.

¤ Content Forum Steering Committee
We are looking for members to help us plan next Spring’s Content Forum, taking place April 15-17 in San Francisco. The Committee will have its first meeting on Wednesday, November 8, at 1:00 PM EST. If you are interested in taking part, please contact Ed Keating at ekeating@siia.net.


¤ Marketing Special Interest Group
The Content Division is looking to create a Marketing SIG comprised of VPs and Directors of Marketing, Product Managers and others involved with the promotion, pricing and packaging of information products. We expect this group to meet via teleconference and in person at our major conferences to discuss and debate industry marketing issues. ¤ Global Information Industry Summit: held 9/14 - 15, Amsterdam
The SIIA's inaugural Global Information Industry Summit took place in Amsterdam last month. More than 130 Publishing executives, industry experts and business development specialists attended the Summit. Presentations from the conference can be found here.

¤ Boston Brown Bag Lunch: Technology Enabled Lead Generation - Can It Work for You? (held 9/27)
The Content Division’s first regional Brown Bag Lunch was held in Boston at the offices of Mintz Levin last month. Bill Burger, Vice President Marketing at Copyright Clearance Center, moderated this session and was joined by executives from Generate, Inc., Zoom Information, Inc. and TrueAdvantage.
