- Membership Coordinator (posted April 10, 2008)
The Software & Information Industry Association is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry is seeking a Membership Coordinator who will work directly with our Vice President of Membership Services. In this role, you will be supporting all aspects of SIIA's membership retention and recruitment programs. The ideal candidate has at least two years experience, preferably in a customer corporate membership organization; pays exceptional attention to details; can ensure a high level of accuracy to member records and data; works easily in Excel; is familiar with database management tools (preferably iMIS); and has excellent written and oral communications skills.
Responsibilities:
Renewals Support
- Supports divisions in renewal efforts by running status reports, identifying contacts, resolving questions, and assisting in outreach as needed.
- Works with divisions to produce Year in Review brochures and related collateral to keep members informed of SIIA activities.
- Responds to member inquiries of all kinds.
New Member Recruitment
- Works with division prospect lists to qualify membership leads through phone and email follow up.
- Develops and drafts electronic collateral to support member recruitment as needed.
- Supports member recruitment by responding to requests for information, research prospect companies, explaining member benefits, drafting collateral and preparing membership packets.
Membership Reports
- Creates monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports on membership activity for the VP, Membership, President and division staff.
Data Management
- Manages all responsibilities related to processing renewals and new member applications, including database updates, invoicing, and staff communications.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of membership database
- Advisor to MIS for managing, organizing, coding and identifying membership information (membership systems administration).
- Oversee entering of prospects and new member information into iMIS
Minimum Requirements:
Prefer Bachelors degree or equivalent work in membership services (preferably corporate membership) with an emphasis on membership recruitment and retention, customer service, or membership marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with a contacts database (iMIS preferred) with a demonstrated ability to manage and maintain data records with accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to manage and maintain detailed reports (particularly in Excel) with a high-level of accuracy.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact well with members.

The Software & Information Industry Association has a fantastic entry level position. This individual will support the [SIIA's] Financial and Information Services Division. We are looking for a motivated team player that can manage multiple responsibilities and work independently. Some travel required. Function
Responsible for providing daily support to the Vice President and FISD staff to support the development and execution of the Division's programs and projects.
Duties and responsibilities include:
List Management
- Review all marketing emails and gathering information to analyze success
- Manage Division member contacts and keep database updated
- Work with members to manage and increase rosters
- Identify prospect companies & contacts
- Update committees and board lists
- Data analysis projects
Manage Website
- Identify industry news items for website - Scrape news related to members and other key industry issues and post it.
- Update department website to include posting presentations and meeting notes
- Manage and update online membership list
Newsletter
- Manages and produces the Division's Industry Daily Newsletter
- Assist with writing content for the newsletter
Event Support
- Supports the development and execution of projects and programs
- Work with FISD staff, management, and speakers to create the program schedule for each FISD event. Program schedule creation includes the order and length of the various segments, break schedules, and interaction with host site operations.
- Ensure that all online materials related to each event are useful, accurate, and up-to-date
- Manage pre- and post-event communications with speakers - collection of hand-outs, slides, and bios, posting of slides to web site
- Copy, assemble and prepare meeting materials for shipment
- Work with meetings manager and host to ensure on-site registration support
- Develop, distribute , summarize and analyze program evaluations
- Take photos at FISD events
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree and/or least two years business experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems and schedule work effectively
- Microsoft Office and FrontPage
- Exceptional organizational, oral and written communication skills
